The spinning of the restaurant did make me a little sea sick...

Tonya and I took my mom to have dinner at the CN tower while she was in town. At first we were worried that the view would be limited because it was foggy but then it cleared up...

High tech maple syrup



On the sugar bush tour, we learned that maple syrup collecting technology has advanced. They now use piping connected to a vacuum pump to collect the sap in some places to avoid the need to constantly collect and empty pails.

 meant to ask how often they have to empty the buckets...

This sugar bush uses both the new fangled and old fashioned methods.

Buying Maple Syrup

Alison buying some maple syrup from an old-order-Mennonite at the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. It's considered disrespectful to take pictures of old-orders most of the time. Tonya said it was ok in this case as long as I focused only on the string of buggies and didn't go in for a close up.

Earth Hour 2

So far I've counted around half a dozen problems with our building...
